One of the most beautiful towns in Italy
Locorotondo is the closest town to Almapetra Trulli Resort, just 3.5 km away.
As the name suggests, it is circular in shape and built around its beautiful Mother Church. Locorotondo attracts and bewitches its visitors with the white that seems to envelop everything, the cleanliness and order, and the colours of the flowers and plants that hang down from the balconies of the houses.
In spite of its small size, Locorotondo is pretty and strikingly harmonious, with its familiar atmosphere, a town of pure light, all white, dominating the valley where it lies.
Locorotondo has received an award for being one of the most beautiful towns in Italy and has earned the prestigious orange flag, awarded by the Italian Touring Club - a mark of quality for environmental tourism given to small municipalities for excellent, high quality hospitality.

The Cummersas
Tradition and international music
When you arrive in Locorotondo and go into the heart of the town, you are struck by the characteristic “cummersas”, little houses with sloping roofs covered with limestone tiles known as chiancarelle. The cummersas preserve the tradition of the town and allow it to be relived by visitors. The essence of Locorotondo is these three elements, the colour white, the flowers and the cummersas. It’s hard not to fall in love with it!
For those who love events, good music and all things related to the local area, we recommend the VIVA festival - Valle d’Itria International Music Festival - one of the most important music festivals in Southern Italy, and the LOCUS festival, a great international music festival that has been going for several years in the town and countryside of Locorotondo. This is also Puglia: a mix of music and culture, visual arts and literary events, which become a universal language.
