THE SWEET AND FRAGRANT PEAR TREE
The entrance to the “Pear Tree” Trullo is near an old “Falsa Recchia”, a variety of pear tree native to the Puglia region, which produces particularly sweet and crunchy fruit. It has always been eaten at the end of meals and is also used for fruit juices and sorbets.
The pears ripen in August, so if you are in Almapetra in summer and you choose the “Pear Tree” trullo as your accommodation, you will be able to savour the aromas and tastes of this tree.
